Trials & billing

The free trial

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card, but nothing is charged until day 7 — cancel before then and you pay nothing. There's one trial per account, so it's the real plan for a week, not a stripped-down preview.

Start one from the welcome dialog (Let Permaura host it), from any Upgrade button in the console, or from permaura.com/pricing.

Founding-member rates

While the founding window is open, monthly plans run at an introductory rate for the first few cycles and annual plans lock a founder price for as long as you stay subscribed. The current offer is shown on the pricing page.

Checkout

Upgrading happens in place — an Upgrade button opens checkout right in the console, no separate billing site to visit. Checkout adapts to where you are:

  • It picks the right payment rail and currency for your country automatically, and offers the express options your region supports (for example PayPal, or Apple Pay / Google Pay where available).
  • Permaura sells as a Merchant of Record where that's the right model, so tax (VAT/GST) is handled for you and your invoice is correct for your country.

For Team, choose your number of seats at checkout (minimum two); you can add or remove seats later and billing adjusts.

Managing your subscription

Everything billing lives under Settings → Billing (/settings/organization/billing), on your organisation (the billing entity — see Workspaces & organisations):

  • Change plan — upgrade or downgrade; changes are prorated.
  • Seats — adjust how many people your Team plan covers.
  • Payment method — update your card or payment details.
  • Invoices — view and download every invoice.
  • Cancel — stop renewal. You keep your plan's features until the period you've paid for ends, then drop to Free.

What happens if a plan lapses

Permaura is built so a billing hiccup never destroys your setup. If a paid plan lapses, hosted workers are paused during a grace period rather than torn down, and paying within that window resumes exactly where you were. Your local gateway is unaffected either way — it never depended on Permaura's service to keep running.

Free doesn't expire

Downgrading or letting a trial end drops you to Free, not to nothing. The local loop — connections, policies, grants, audit — keeps working. You only lose the paid reach features (remote access, hosted execution, multi-device, team governance).
